This is a major reason for *avoiding* win 95 like the plague. Cheap CD
writers are avialable these days and that program that runs can do
practically anything. Thus it is quite possible you insert the CD and
find that all your files have been *irreversably nuked* and the disc blocks
have been filed with random junk just to make sure, possibly by overwrting
the files with random junk before nuking them.

Also evil CDs look like an ideal way of spreading virii and such. Win95 has
no security to stop such programs either. Maybe it even does something along
the lines of the Choas Computer club's active control.

Somehow I was very glad than my CD was a samba network drive when I had a win
95 box on my desk (no autoplay to get things wrong and a chance to actually
check the program before it runs). Oh, yes and there where plently of occasions
when I did *not* want to run the install program.

Anyone who thinkjs autolay is a a good feature should learn something about
security before posting.
