To not get this misunderstood: SMP is available for FreeBSD, but
currently in form of a separate kernel tree.  So even if you get ahold
of a 3.0-SNAP these days, it doesn't have SMP.

However, it's right, one of the goals (and the one that caused the
major version # bump) of FreeBSD 3.0 is SMP.
