I'm having a 486 Compac with freeBSD on it. With a 3C509 Lan card it is
connected to an Ascend Pipeline 50 which takes care of the connection to
the ISDN-line.
Now when accessing the Ascend though the LAN-card the connection is very
slow, it kind of "hicks" when getting the information from the Ascend,
about every second a little piece of information is coming in (around
50-100 bytes).

I did the trick to the Ascend before with a BSDI machine, this has no
problem at all, respond is flashing, so I suspect a problem in the
configuration of freeBSD.

Is there anybody who could give me a hint where to search ?
