I run among other things WP 6.1 (16 bit) and Office 95 and whenever I goto file open, the computer trys to open the A:\ drive. Of course there is nothing there so I have to wait several seconds while it tries. Even if there is a diskette in the drive it goes to look. Even if the last file I opened was on the C:\ drive, it goes to the A:\ Drive. Even when the default drive in File Open is the C:\ is looks to A:\ First. This happens in WordPerfect, and Excel. It also searches the drive when I use Netscape or when I load a new page in Netscape. I have seen other computers do this but have never figured out why. I suspect WP has something to do with it as well. If you have figured out how to fix this, please drop me an email. Thanks. -- Marc
