I've decided a nice, specific OS book would be very useful in managing
my FreeBSD box. I'm interested in hand holding type of book for a novice
to FreeBSD and unix-like OS, but someone who is knowledgeable in other
network OSes. The Complete FreeBSD book sounds reasonable what little
information I can find on it. However, it was released almost a year
ago. Since then there have been several updates to the 2.1.x versions
and 2.2.1 has been released. I would like to know if those of you
familiar with both the book and FreeBSD think it is the book to buy for
understanding and administering 2.1.x and 2.2.x Is it still
satisfactory for 2.1.x. What about 2.2.x, is it so different as to be
beyond the scope of the book?

I know some of you may have an association with Walnut Creek CD-ROM and
your comments are welcome, just let me know so I can weigh that factor
into your comments. <g>

Thanks.
