Hello all !

Last weekend I tried to create a syscons keyboardmap file for the
swiss-german keyboard I have.
Unfortunately, there are two different key layouts. That will make
it difficult to just switch to a swiss-german keyboard without
knowing the layout currently in use. OK, that's another story.

I finally can now enter, e.g. a-umlaut, into my xterms, into
"cat" but not on the real syscons console. That is, every time
I hit a-umlaut it just sends a "beep" and that's it.
As said before, doing a simple "cat" on the (text) console shows
all the characters I type on the screen, including a-umlaut.

So, what do I have to do to get these characters displayed on the
normal text console ?
I guess it must be something with "stty -cs8" or so, but I am not sure.
I know that Soren Schmid did the syscons driver but I couldn't find
an E-Mail address to ask him directly.

Thanks in advance for all the help you can provide.

Norbert.
