yes, it's amazaing.  Quite frankly, i htink that it's *important* to have
two competeign but somewhat compatible systems.  Gee, think of a world in
which microsoft was desparately trying to break into the market of
competeing free unices :)

WHich brings up another great hope for apple.  If they pull off rhaphsody
as a multiple platform os,  the choice becomes free unix, apple-backed
unix, ore that non-standard stuff from washington :)

so i'm not the only one who noticed the resemblence :)  Kind of like the
Navy &Marine Corps, who remember that the Real Enemy is the Air Force :)
