I am running FreeBSD 2.1.0-RELEASE and am having problems installing my
sound card. It's a Soundblaster AWE32PnP (damn the evil thing!), and I
discovered that it will emulate the Roland MPU-401 or the SoundBlaster
16.

I can get the kernel to recognize the card, but, for some reason, I
cannot make the node snd0 required to address the card. I keep getting
the error "SoundCard Error: The sound card system has not been
configured." whenever I try to access the card.

Any ideas about what I can do to fix the problem?

Your help is greatly appreciated.
