I have noticed several problems, possibly bugs in this SNAP looking for
either help or assurance that these are bugs...

* The resolver routines DO NOT resolve a hostname containing an underscore
"_". If i enable NIS lookups in /etc/host.conf they sometimes resolve,
although yp_match consistently errors and times out.

* vx0/ppp0 when both enabled sometimes strange things happen, random speed
decreases, ridiculously high pauses before the kernel sends data throught
the modem (altho this is unsure because the pbx system does add line
noise) and localhost doesn't always resolv quickly, respond quickly or
work at all.

* somewhere in the terminal routines the erase character gets remappes (no
matter what the original was) to CTRL-H. e.g.-> this moment I am using a
vt220 (dec man.) terminal which sents CTRL-? as erase/del. I set my
termcap on my 3.0-SNAP box...erase etc...works like a charm. Upon
rlogin/telnet to another unix machine the character ^H appears when i type
delete (partly because the vt220 termcap on dest machine is erase=^?). If
i stty erase to ^H it works...but this shouldn't be happening.

* as per the instructions on the manpages i setup my password file with
the +:::::::etc.. entry to allow ypbind/NIS lookups to no avail. I also
tried +(spec username)::: with remaps to homedir/shell again to no avail.
Aside from adding said info properly to /etc/passwd (using vipw thats not
the problem) and have ypbind up and running where "ypcat passwd" shows me
the NIS passwd file, what do I have to do to get NIS user/passwd lookups
to work?
