An SCSI JAZ disk is just an "sd" disk like any other SCSI harddisk.
So no special need to install something specific for that device.

You may add however these lines to your /etc/disktab to define your
"jaz"-disk type:

jaz:jaz1gb:JAZ Drive with 1GB:\
      :ty=removable:dt=SCSI:rm#3600:\
      :se#512:nt#64:ns#31:nc#1053:sc#1984:su#2089152:\
      :pc#2089152:oc#0:

You may also hardwire the SCSI ID of your JAZ with a sd number in the
kernel. See /sys/i386/conf/LINT

To lowlevel format your JAZ: scsiformat -w sdX where X is the reported
number of your kernel for your JAZ disk.

Then do a disklabel -w -r sdX jaz

Example: My JAZ is sd2, so I would type:
disklabel -w -r sd2 jaz

After then you may edit the disklabel with "disklabel -e sdX". You may
define partitions on your JAZ disk.

newfs them as usual then. When you mount a partition of your jaz, you will
notice that you can't eject your jaz disk unless you unmount all partitions
on it. But it is however a bad idea that the jaz drives notices the press
on his eject button and will execute the eject after unmounting... Very bad
idea...
