I'm trying to install NetBSD 1.2 via FTP.

I've booted from the install floppies and I'm to the point where I FTP
to
a server to download everything. I'm trying to configure networking.
However, my ethernet interface is not visible.

ifconfig shows me lo0, loopback, and sl0 and sl1, which I assume are
serial
devices. There is no ed0, ed1, etc. For my card, an SMC/WD 8003, the
install document says to go with IRQ 2, 0x280, 0xD0000, but this
configuration doesn't
get me any further.

I hope I don't have to install from floppies and recompile the kernel.
That
would defeat the purpose of installing via FTP in the first place.

I've been doing some asking around, and it seems the 8003 is a perfectly
common
card to have, so SOMEONE has to have had some success with it and
NetBSD.

Any advice? Thanks in advance.
