There's a tutorial for users new to unix and FreeBSD at
http://www.freebsd.org/tutorials/newuser/newuser.html
It's also at
http://andrsn.stanford.edu/FreeBSD/newuser.html

This tutorial doesn't deal with installation at all, and I'm not
much of an expert on that. However if I were parititioning a 160
megabyte space I'd probably use about 26 for /, 32 for swap, and
everything else in /usr.
Are you sure you installed the boot manager? You can do this after
you install FreeBSD; it needs to be done from dos, preferably from
a boot floppy running dos. Windows95 will not allow you to write
to the Master Boot Record (I don't know about NT ).
