I've been using userland PPP in auto dial mode with great success
except for one little annoyance. Every couple of days my ISP answers
the phone but there is no one there. From the logs it looks like my
PPP sends config request, config request, config request. When it
receives no responce it hangs up and markes the connection as dead,
never to try again.

I have to stop ppp and restart it.

Anyone else have this problem?

I'm thinking to hack the source so that ppp will just try again a
while latter.
