Try reading the man pages...they helped me get it up and running

They are nmbd, smbd, smb.conf, smbclient, smbrun, smbstatus, smbtar,
testparm ans testprns.  The man pages for nmbd, smbd, and smb.conf
are the ones that'll help you the most.....
