No such thing like ``The Compaq driver''.  The least you should post
here in order to get some help is a detailed chip information about
your graphics adapter.

Try running SuperProbe if you have no clues what Compaq might have
stuffed into your machine (i think they are one of the companies with
the ``You don't need to know what's inside'' attitude).
