I am looking for a way to tune my BSDI box to get the best performance
when running at 100 Mbps. I have found that the NFS read transfer rate
is much, much
slower at 100 Mbps with nfsiod running that it is without. I have a very
fast
NFS server that appears to be overrunning the BSDI box.

Using netstat I can see that the "dropped due to full socket buffers"
UDP counter is
steadily increasing during the transfers.

If I kill the nfsiod processes and continue running at 100 Mbps I get
much
better NFS read rates. If I drop the speed back to 10 Mbps I can get
much
better rates than I get with 100 Mbps(and nfsiod).

Any ideas on how I can tune BSDI to get the best performance at 100
Mbps. NFS
reading will be the bulk of my application.

If you can respond via email. Thanks.
