Does wcarchive.cdrom.com count as a reference machine?  It's running
512 MB RAM and some 70-odd GB of disks.

RAID 0, well, you actually mean `AID'? :-)  RAID without redundancy,
i.e. disk striping.  It's supported by the ccd driver.
