Hi,

I have spent about 4 days trying to install the Astrolog5.30 on my
FreeBSD2.1.5. You can find the source code of Astrolog5.30 at
http://www.speakeasy.org/~cruiser1/ftp/ast53unx.shr

I installed my FreeBSD2.1.5-Release from the CDROM, which has an
AStrolog5.00 built-in in its package. Now, the current verison of AStrolog
is 5.30, so, I downloaded it and try to make it.
After I modify the Makeilf to include -I/usr/X11R6/include and links to
-L/usr/X11R6/lib, it did finish compile, however, with a message
"strip astrolog" . and then, when I execute it, it said "Floating
exception" and could not run at all.

Someone suggested me to use the 2.2-GAMMA's ports to patch it, and I did
try, but it still can't run. some people say that this may be caused by
the 2.1.5's bug, but I don't know. He said that after he upgrade to 2.2
current or 3.0, he can compile Astrolog5.30 and run it successfully.
At least, I can make AStrolog5.20 run on my 2.1.5.

The problem is, my ISP is using FreeBSD2.1.5, too. and I got a CGI program
of astrolog5.30 which I plan to put on my ISP, and it could not be
compiled. I wonder if there is a way "not to change any system settin" but
by adding some flags or something so that I can make astrolog5.30 run on
my ISP?

Please help. Thanks.
