It seems that my recent post about the 3c589c is unfounded !  It
now works 100% (no hangs) at ~480-700k/s !  I'm running -current
from around 970209 if anyone's interrested.

Not only that, apm works, as do the CD & sound card !  The only thing
that's not quite right is after resuming, I have to plug all the
pcmcia cards out&in.... not really irritating at all.

Hmmm, this could get quite boring !
