As a first time installer to FreeBSD and paranoid about what might go
wrong I choose NOT to install the boot manager.

I created a boot floppy and early in the boot sequence I type:
	sd(1,a)kernel
to force the boot-process to look on my 2nd drive for the kernel.

I'm not sure if this is at all "the right way to do it", but it
has worked OK so far. And it had the benefit that most paranoid
installers have. I was able to install on drive 2 without making
any changes on drive 1.

My two cents,
