So, I installed the soundblaster (recognized as sb0). Both rplay-rplayd
and auplay/au produce _HORRIBLE_ noises instead of the expected
sounds... xanim does play either -- makes 4-5 seconds pauses after
1 second of sound...

Do I start them with wrong configuration flags? Which device(s)
should I use /dev/dsp or /dev/audio (tried both)?

Should I try changing drivers -- mss and opl also support the
SoundBlaster?.. Thanks for suggestions!

The system is 3.0-970209, /dev/sndstat says:
