I've been hunting around the web site and searching lists all morning..
all I can find is 100 people asking how to increase their file
descriptors, but no answers. Go figure :)

I'm running an IRC server, and have already increased the limit from the
default 256 to 1024.. in the near future, I'm upgrading the hardware tho
and would like to accomodate more clients. I hear in Linux that 1024 is
the limit unless you want to do some MAJOR jerry-rigging in the kernel..

Does FreeBSD have a similar limit? Also, does anyone know of any www
references to performing this proceedure? Thanks!
