I once tried this.  I found that my disk had also been re-labeled
and I had to do a re-install of everything.  That was with 2.0.5,
and it might have been my fault.  Bottom line though is that this
method is a little dangerous.

I had to do it again just a few days ago.  This time I used the
DOS based booteasy installation program from the 2.1 CD-ROM.  It
ran fine in Windows95 DOS mode and is amply documented.  I recommend
this approach.

The DOS utilities, including the booteasy installer, are also
available on ftp://ftp.freebsd.org.
