Just completed my first FTP install of FreeBSD 2.1.6-RELEASE.

Dozens of packages failed to install because it couldn't find them on the
remote site. I'm now experiencing a number of problems with the system.
No elm. Apache wouldn't compile. There's a bunch of gibberish in PINE
where the highlighted menus are, etc.

Before I do anymore trouble shooting, should I try to reinstall? Or get
an older version of FreeBSD?

I'd appreciate any advice from the group.

Thanks.
