I've tried 2.1.5 and 2.1.6 without success. When FreeBSD is already
installed
I put

slattach -c -s 57600 /dev/cuaa1
ifconfig sl0 inet xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx yyy.yyy.yyy.yyy mtu 1500

and everything works fine.
