New X installation... at startup, the hardware reposrts PS/2 "not
installed" yet there is a "round" port. No matter what port I connect to
(round or db-9), whether I use "MICROSOFT" "LOGITECH" or "PS/2" as a
protocol, or /dev/psaux0 or /dev/mouse (linked to bm0), I get the following
message on startx:

srror:failed to open/initiialize mouse/tablet device.

fatal server error:
failed to initialize core devices
x connection... broken... etc.

Any idea onhow to resolve? Is this a hardware problem?

Thanks!
