Correct.

The next `release' of FreeBSD will be 2.2-RELEASE, and what you are
subscribing to is the releases. Not to any particular branch.

My guess is that Jordan will be producing SNAP releases from the 3.x
branch for CDROM digestion, and that if you subscribe to the SNAPs
you'll start getting 3.0's thrown at you soon.
