Greetings all,

I'm new to FreeBSD but somewhat experienced with Linux.

I just completed my first FreeBSD install, 2.1.6-Release.

During the install, there was a whole slew of packages that couldn't be
found and thus weren't installed. That might have something to do with
several of the problems I'm having getting up and running. Should I
install an earlier release before I go too much further?

At the moment, I'm just trying to get email set up. Elm was one of the
programs that didn't install. When I fire up Pine, I get gibberish in
place of all the highlighted menu items. It appears the emulation is off
or some such thing as that.

Anyone got any clues?

Thanks.
