I'm trying to install 2.1.5 on my old 486/66. It has an ISA Adaptec
1520 that works fine, albeit slowly, with Dos and NT. I booted -c
from floppy, removed all the conflicts, checked that aic0 was set
to port 340 and irq 11, same as the driver reports during a DOS
boot, and let it go.

It grinds along for a while, probing this and that, and eventually
eventually reports finding and aic0 at 340 and irq 11. A minute
or so later it reports discovering sd0(aic0:0:0).

Then it sits for 90 seconds and says:
	(aic0:4:0): timed out

This pattern of a 90 second pause followed by a message goes
on for a total of six complaints about (aic0:4:0); at which point it
moves on to complaining about (aic0:5:0), and finally (aic0:6:0).
After 18 complaints and nearly half an hour, I get a screen that's
blank, but for the block cursor in the lower left corner. It persists
for several minutes. Eventually the install screen appears,
whereupon the partition editor tells me I have no hard disks.

Does this ring a bell with anyone? Any clues gratefully appreciated.
