	This is just correct.

	As a manager of both OS's (in school we are using Linux to teach UNIX
to kids, and in the company that I'm working with we are using BSDI), I
think I can compare them.

	On the Linux side, you have the speed, not just computing speed, but
also speed of change, you can find every kind of new, strange, and just
interesting software. I do not mean it is hard to find software fo BSDI
(God forbid), but possibilities with Linux somehow richer.

	On the BSDI side, you have reliabilty. You can configure the system and
leave it to do work; mail server, web server, tacacs server, you name
it, and it does the job. Linux is also reliable, and as my personel work
station I'm using it, but I do not put my (especially my boss') money on
it.

	Regards;
	Can Baysal;

PS: About NFS performance; once I run five Linux boxes interconnected
with NSF (one was holding system binaries, one X11 libs etc.). Boxes
were i386+387 SX 16 with 9 Megs of RAM. They usually could keep together
for two weeks (20 days top), then problems. But I had not any speed and
runtime problems, at least I can say Linux's nfs (server side) is better
than Ultrix 4.3 for VAX (but not Ultrix 4.4 for MIPS).
