Well, actually, to tell the truth it didn't. :P  HOWEVER, I managed to
figure out what the problem was.  When I downloaded the distribution for
XF8632, the README said the X32prog.tgz file was optional.  Never
occurred to me.  I downloaded it, expanded it, updated the ldconfig
cache and re-built it.  Installed with no problems.  Easy-peezy! :)

Thanks for the suggestion though!
