Get ``DNS and BIND'' by O'Reilly.

Hint: reverse lookup for your own hostname seems broken.  Anyway,
there's too many things you can get wrong with DNS, and too much harm
that can happen if you don't understand all implications.  That's why
i usually recommend a good book here, even though it sounds harsh to
not help you directly.
