POSITION TITLE: Unix/Network System Administrator
Full-time, salaried with benefits
DCANet has a current opening for a full-time Unix and network administrator.
Job duties include:
* Administration of several BSDI Unix servers
* Administration of USENET news server
* Administration of Domain Name and web servers
* Administration and configuration of Cisco routers
* Administration and configuration of modem/ISDN terminal servers
* Support office staff for Unix- and network-related questions
The position is 40+ hours per week and will be located in either DCANet's
Wilmington, Delaware or Center City Philadelphia offices, depending on the
needs of the applicant. The position includes salaried pay, health and
dental benefits, and free unlimited Internet access.
Applicant requirements:
* Strong familiarity with Unix operating system - BSD experience preferred
* Strong familiarity with the Internet and the TCP/IP protocol
* Knowledge of domain name service and network news transport protocol
* Knowledge of modems and ISDN adapters desirable
* Knowledge of Cisco router configuration desirable
* 4-year technical degree and one year experience preferred
