RTFF (Read the f* FAQ).

You must have not read the documentation really carefully.  In the FAQ
on the section for SCSI host adapters the 282x is explicitly listed.

No.  The 282x are PIO, not busmastering, adapters.  To get the low CPU
utilization results you'll have to get a 284x which is a busmastering
VLB adapter or the Buslogic BT-44x.
