I have kerberos IV and rdist working successfully.
( the versions shipped with bsdi 21.)

I can log into kerberos and update files using rdist without error.

However, when trying to use rdist with DES i.e. rdist -x I get the
following error.......

rdist: warning, using standard rlogin: can't get entry for ekshell/tcp
service. updating host MyHostName
rdist: the -x flag requires Kerberos authentication

****** I ADDED FOLLOWING TO /etc/services ekshell 2106/tcp #kerberos
encrypted rsh

****** and GOT FOLLOWING ERROR

updating host MyHostName
rdist: warning, using standard rlogin: remote host doesn't support
Kerberos. Permission denied.

Any ideas?

TIA, Chet
