I install FreeBSD and start the first boot which fails with following
messages:

changing root device to wd1a
panic: cannot mount root

I have a pentium P166 (Triton chipset) with a Primary and Secondary EIDE
controllers. These a recognised during the boot. I have two drives
attached, a Seagate ST51270A as a Master on the Primary (wd0), all of which
is used for DOS( win95) (The slave on the Primary is an ATAPI CD-ROM which
is also found during the config and boot).

The second drive is a Quantum 1280 Fireball (wd2). It is partitioned as
follows:

Partition 1: 32MB FAT16 Primary
             2: 100MB FAT16 Extended
3: Approx 400MB FreeBSD labelled as
			/ 32MB
			SWAP 48MB
			/var	32MB
			/usr 284MB

I've tried removing the CD-ROM and re-installing FreeBSD but is still wants
to change to root device wd1a. I've also tried to run FIPS to create
another partition on my pretty full Seagate, but it failed.

Thanks in advance, Andrew.
