i tried to install with this card, and i seemed to have some problems. altho
the card was recognized by freebsd, it didn't seem to actually route any
traffic thru it. i had the card set to the default settings in the GENERIC
kernel for zp0, but it didn't seem like packets were even getting to the
card.

is there something i'm doing wrong? i was under the impression that i could
use this card for installing freebsd.  i'm not trying to use pccard services;
i'm just wanting to use this card for networking my laptop. it works fine
under dos, so i know the card itself is ok.

btw, i'm using the august release of 2.1.5. i was poking around through the
archives, and the only possible info i found was that the following might be
something i'd want to put in my kernel config file.

controller crd0
device pcic0 at crd?
device pcic1 at crd?

i'd think this was for pccard stuff, but i'm not as familiar with the issues
involved in that. i've installed freebsd a few times now, so i'm fairly
comfortable with that; i've installed a variety of unixes before, so
i'm really not a neophyte here except possibly from the freebsd end.

any help would be appreciated. thanks.

joe

ps. i'll be reading this group, but if you could respond via email to this
or joe@planetx.org, that'd be really cool. at this point, anything to get
bsd/os off the laptop would be great.
