I recommend you using a newer system (2.2-BETA) then, since the NCR
driver in the boot kernel now doesn't use tagged command queuing.
That's what ``options FAILSAFE'' is for.

You might also succeed by loaning another controller, and
bootstrapping with that one.  Once you've recompiled the kernel
with

	options		"SCSI_NCR_DFLT_TAGS=0"

it should fly.
