hi,

i am trying to get FreeBSD to recognize the internal modem on the
thinkpad 760ED.

on booting, FreeBSD sez it is looking at the correct address (0x3f8),
and that is the address that Windows 95 and the manual say is correct
but BSD says it is not found ...

are there any utilities to help figure this out ?

as I understand it now, i have to re-build the kernel everytime i make a
change to the parameters ...

thanks

doug
