another motherboard? memory? filesystems async (i dont remember if i had,
should've been)? two 7200 ultra wide fujitsu drives without ccd, or was
it ccd, i dont remember... :p

still not fast enough... that quad 500mhz 2048 cache would... until found
slow as hell...

ok, i admit, no need to have ultra fast cpu if the machine has to wait for the
user imput, disk i/o, or network i/o or whatever...
