Yes. There are also a good number of Mac tools for Linux/UNIX that
emulate HFS very well. A Mac user can obtain some good Unix OSes
as well, like Mach-10, MkLinux, NetBSD (68k), etc.

I agree. Unix is kludgy, klanky, pissy, and ugly, which is (in turn)
perplexing, entertaining, and realistic to the user. I don't trust
an OS without a prompt, non-kludgy or not.

Or we can keep developing apps within the Unix community that won't
