                                root filesystem

Boot with:

1:wd(2,a)/kernel

For BSD, the first disk on wdc1 is wd2 (i.e., the third possible `wd'
drive), while it's the second disk (#1 when counting 0-based) for the
BIOS. There's a parameter called BOOT_HD_BIAS in the bootblock
Makefiles you can tweak to get another default behaviour. The
bootblocks are in sys/i386/boot/biosboot.
