A thousand hacks they have, but no make world, debian linux is the only
upgrade in place linux and it is done with sophisticated dependancy
databases and package managers....( more to go wrong )

funny how clean make world is....(no dependacy problems, databases,
special packing and unpacking software, etc..)

I dunno I think you elegently understated it perfectly! :)
