I have two freebsd machines connected by a lap link cable.
when I run netstat -i on both machines, I get something like this:

gauss# netstat -i
Name Mtu Network Address Ipkts Ierrs Opkts Oerrs Coll
lp0* 1500 <Link> 0 0 0 0 0
lo0 16384 <Link> 0 0 0 0 0
lo0 16384 your-net localhost 0 0 0 0 0
sl0* 552 <Link> 0 0 0 0 0
tun0* 1500 <Link> 0 0 0 0 0
gauss#

So as you can see there is a parallel port interface, and it is recognized.

What do I need to do to throw packets out through this interface?

Thanks for your time,

Sincerely

Andrew Verba
