Well, the amount of fun that I have isn't usually dependent on
obsenity (in fact it is never dependent on obsenity.)  I
compare peoples "enjoyment" of obsenity with Beavis & Buttheads
"obsession" with bodily functions...  We all know about them,
it is just that after we all grow up, we don't think that they
are funny anymore.

I really think that the only time that message would be a problem
for Linux, is if it appeared in a serious business environment.  It
is ashamed that one has to comb the source code for such messages
before deploying the binaries on a customer's site.

I don't know that it is snobbery, as much as appropriate language
for given situations.  In the real working world, there are situations
where such language is not appropriate, and alot of people don't want
to be on the forefront of bringing obsenity into their working
places.  Some places are very liberal about language, but many are
not.  It is really really easy to be NOT obscene.
