Anyone using apache with SSL patch?

I am running apache 1.1.1 with SSL patch 1.3. Need minor change
to souce to compile. I got it running now on my freebsd machine but
had some problems:

1. SSL daemon only accept selfsigned certificate. When I request
a new certificate using CA.sh coming from SSLeay and sign it.
SSL daemon will report error if use the new created certificate.
I don't have other applications to test new certificate. Any idea?

2. The original apache daemon usually had 'exit on signal 11' error.
But this patched SSL version never got above message. How
    can I explain this?
