I'm trying to add a fifth virtual terminal under freebsd 2.1.5 and am having
problems getting it to work.

I've added the appropriate lines in /etc/ttys and do a "kill -1 1" to re-read
the file but get an error message saying "no such device" when I try access
the new ttyv4. In /dev there are ttyv0 ttyv1 ttyv2 and ttyv3 but no ttyv4.
When I try to MAKEDEV ttyv4, I get an error message saying "no such device".

Can anyone tell me what I'm doing wrong? Any suggestions would be
appreciated. Please forward suggestions via e-mail to gsladic@mcs.com

Thanks
and Happy Holidays
