Hi everybody - I'm one of the (seeming) minority that prefers a 43
line screen over 25 - see more at a faster rate, etc. Plus, 50 seems
almost overkill (yeah, I'm picky).

So, naturally this would be something that I'd like to do with
FreeBSD. After skimming around DejaNews for a bit & a few other
places, the solution seems to be:

vidcontrol EGA_80x43

However, this gives me the message:

Cannot set vidmode: Invalid Argument

I *know* I've just missed something incredibly obvious with this one.
I can put my screen into a few other modes (mostly illegible) so I
think I've got the command right (judging from the man page)...

I can put my screen into EGA 43 row mode in DOS so I know its possible
- but could a fairly low-end vidcard/monitor cause this problem with
FreeBSD?

BTW in case its important this is FreeBSD 2.1.5.

Thanks!
