X-Newsreader: Microsoft Internet News 4.70.1160 Lines: 36 Xref: euryale.cc.adfa.oz.au comp.unix.bsd.freebsd.misc:33141 After upgrading several machines running 2.0.1-RELEASE from sendmail 8.6.12 to sendmail 8.8.4 I've found that logging has stopped but just events from sendmail. (NOTE: it worked find with 8.6.12) Poked around quite a bit and could not find anything in the 8.8.4 distribution to explain it. Since I had a machine with 2.2-961014-SNAP+SMP I compiled 8.8.4 and logging is working - go figure - Has anyone run into this problem - or - could make a suggestion? Here is my syslogd.conf *.err;kern.debug;auth.notice;mail.crit /dev/console *.notice;kern.debug;lpr,auth.info;mail.crit /var/log/messages *.err root *.notice;auth.debug root *.alert root *.emerg * *.debug /var/log/debug.log cron.* /var/cron/log local3.* /var/log/cisco.log local4.* /var/log/ascend.log daemon.* /var/log/daemon.log mail.* /var/log/maillog lpr.info /var/log/lpd-errs local5.* /var/log/maillog ~ ~ And yes /var/log/maillog exists.......
