I tried installing FBSD 2.2-beta; the generic kernel recognizes the SMC
ethernet 10/100 as a de0 interface but when I try to ftp the OS, I get

	de0: transmission timeout

error messages. I looked around in the doc files for any mention of
support for the DEC 21140-AC chip but there wasn't any.

Questions:
1. Is the DEC 21140-AC (note the AC) chip supported in FBSD?

2. If so, which version of FBSD should I use?

3. If not, when would there be support?

4. Could I be doing anything else wrong that is causing the network
connection being dead? The cards work with MS Windoze so I know that my
ethernet port and cable are ok.
